Development Instructors all have big hearts and a willingness to do something about the most basic contradiction in today’s world: the extreme poverty in which far too many people live.

Hi there! My name is Vincent Hinssen I’m from the Netherlands and I joined the Humana program to be a D.I. in November 2007.

The Agitation Weekend involved all the DI’s (Development Instructor’s) enrolled in the schools at; Juelsminde, Bogense, Bustrup, Nordjylland and Nakkebolle.

We welcome Sónia Veiga and Zsofia Fila to the D.I. program in Tvind. We are also enrolling for the November team 2008 in Tvind School Centre.

Welcome to Tvind. We are around 100 people living here. There are 2 schools for teenagers, 2 Carehomes, a teacher training college called DNS and Tvindkraft our windmill, the sport hall, the thatre hall, the Dining hall and lots of nature...

I always believed that I could change the world, but I also know that I am probably not able to do it by myself. It always takes a tribe of people to make changes. I used to look for an opportunity to make a difference by becoming "an agent of change."

I am really interest at people and their culture in africa, but i also know naturally that there are a lot of problems and many people fight there every day for their life and a lot of them are ill and die or have no family anymore.

I look forward to challenging myself, live an adventure and explore new ways of supporting people without just consuming their land but offering something beneficial.

The volunteering in Africa is a very long story in my life. When I was a child, I often thought I will go to Africa and I will live there and help people.

I hope that this decision will be good and an unforgettable one in my life. And all the experiences make me grow into the open minded person I wish to be.

All that is needed is just a bit of our time and a piece of our heart and you can easily make a person smile. Hey! And that’s good enough for me.

I went to Dubai for about 7 months. There I saw the big difference between rich and poor in one city.Foreign workers from India, Pakistan and other Asian and Persian countries told me their stories, and I got a look in their life.

So here I am starting Development Instructor project and since I've made this decision I'm the happiest ladybird in the worlds meadow.

I was a volunteer in Ukraine for one year. Working there made me very happy, so I decided that I would like to do the same things in my life

I really loved my time there and was able to travel around some of Southern Africa, visiting Zimbabwe and Namibia.
